Position Overview

The Senior Service Technician provides mechanical and electrical field support for Rochem Americas’ wastewater treatment systems across the United States.

This role requires independent, on-site work to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and commission Rochem systems. While primarily field-based, occasional remote work is required for reporting and coordination.

This is a full-time, salaried position with regular travel requirements.Candidates must reside in a location that supports efficient travel, preferably based in the Southeast region of the United States. Proximity to a major airport is required to support regional and domestic travel. A mandatory, paid two-week training will take place at our Georgia facility upon hire. The role reports to the Field Service Supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities

·         Diagnose and resolve complex system issues using advanced technical expertise and troubleshooting methods

·         Collaborate with Rochem Americas’ teams as necessary

·         Support and maintain excellent customer relationships

·         Lead advanced diagnostics on reverse osmosis and wastewater treatment systems

·         Conduct laboratory analyses and basic water chemistry testing

·         Perform commissioning of new systems

·         Maintain complete documentation of work performed in Field Service Reports

·         Generate work requests for malfunctioning or damaged equipment

·         Adhere to all safety protocols and operational procedures

·         Serve as training officer for Field Service team

·         Complete additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications

·         10+ years of experience as a Field Service Technician 

·         Training as an electrician or mechatronics

·         PLC competency and strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)

·         Wastewater Operator License preferred, or ability to obtain within 12 months

·         Ability to interpret data, read technical manuals & diagrams, and follow detailed instructions

·         Must be safety-conscious and capable of working independently

·         Team player with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills

·         Valid passport, driver’s license

·         Familiarity with Spanish, German, or Chinese is a plus

Travel Requirements

·         75% Domestically

·         Occasional International Travel

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $80,000 - $95,000 (based on experience)
